Ruan's journey into mushroom cultivation started eight years ago when he began experimenting out of curiosity and a love for mushrooms. Not only are they a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and protein, but they also grow incredibly fast—making them a fascinating crop to cultivate.
What sets Ruan’s approach apart is his commitment to sustainability. He uses the bucket tek method, which allows him to reuse buckets instead of relying on single-use plastic bags, significantly reducing waste. His process involves using wheat straw as a substrate and a cold water pasteurization method, making the system both efficient and eco-friendly.
By growing his own mushrooms, Ruan ensures that his clients receive the freshest product possible, directly from the farmer they know and trust. His passion for quality, sustainability, and local food production drives him to continuously refine his methods and share his love for mushrooms with the community.
